First of all, the Minang Cove team would like to thank all our guests from 2009 for their support, and a big thank you to all our return guests.
During the monsoon this year, we will busy with renovations and fine tuning to improve every ones experience at Minang Cove.
We will be renovating all the bathrooms in the resort, with major renovation planned for both the Sea View Villa and Beach Front Villa. Also some smaller details will be given our attention, from soft furnishings to some new décor.
We are also excited to tell you about a new project which will be opening at the start of the 2010 season – our own Minang Cove Spa! Offering a range of massage and beauty treatments, you can now take your relaxing holiday to a new level.
During the monsoon season, our kitchen staff will also be working on a new and improved menu to broaden your culinary choices, and create a finer dining experience.
Something which we are also looking forward to, is the addition of a new boat to our existing fleet. Our new boat will also have a four-stroke engine like our other two, in a bid to keep down the consumption of petrol and reduce our carbon footprint!
During the 2009 season, our dive centre has joined forces with a marine conservation group called Green Fins. The aim is to encourage guests to take more interest in the protection and conservation of all marine life, and to join in with coral surveys and reef and beach cleans up during their stay.
Our artificial reef project, which we put down at the start of this year, has seen positive results, and we will be persevering with this throughout the 2010 year.
Now it is the end of the season, all the used plastic and tins will be taken to a recycling depot on the mainland, and we shall be using as much recycled wood and other building materials as possible during our monsoon renovations.
We are looking forward to the start of the new season, and to welcoming both new and repeat guests to Minang Cove.
